Pastel Creperie and Dessert House

Shortcake Crepe

My friend brought me to Pastel Desserts which is located near Yonge and Finch and it was a cute little dessert cafe :)  The good thing about their menu is that they show pictures for a lot of their desserts so you know what they look like at least!

I got the Shortcake Crepe:

• menu description: strawberry, blueberry, sponge cake, strawberry ice-cream 
• thoughts: It's like any typical crepe except that there is sponge cake inside the crepe and that's a first for me. I love cake and it's "bready" texture (which I know not everyone likes) but I think the cake component in this crepe adds.....thickness to the dessert? It's as if you have more to chew and more to taste LOL I hope that makes sense to at least someone! The plating was very nice as well :) 

Tips: If you are going anywhere near Yonge and Finch, there is free parking after 9pm from Monday to Friday all along Yonge so you save money! (I think it's usually $2.25 per half an hour otherwise)

Overall, I think it's a nice dessert place but it's not a place that I would make the trip for.
